Hello Folks. For those of you who have a trekker perhaps you'll respond to my questions. First, why is there no way to read the contense of the screen? That's not cool. Second, does anyone know where I can get other maps besides the Navtec maps? I just got my trekker about a week ago. I do really love the thing. I took a virtual walk down memory lane and was so impressed as to how accurate the thing was.
there is a way to read the screen, the read key does it, You should put your trecker into learn mode or what ever they call it, and it will tell you what key does what task, Plus if you arrow up and down you can read back through instructions. If you can't find this option let me know and i'll check mine
You can only get Navtech maps for it.
To poster 2, here is an exsample for you to try. Tipe out a three to four sentense paragraph in the text editer. Now try to read the entire screen as you would with Jaws or Window Eyes. You will not find a command in either the F1 help, or the help menu under the system tray. And to poster 3, Trekker supports external maps. They must fit certain criteria, which can be found either in the help file inside Trekker, or from the system tray help file, under Trekker. Alternatively, one can go to www.humanware.com to learn about the inporting of maps other than NavTec. Humanware gives other sites, however, I don't know what I am doing. That is why I was looking for a more experienced user than myself.
